TOAST is a one-person architecture office dedicated to collaborating closely with private clients - the owners, inhabitants, daily users, and social stakeholders of the buildings and spaces we design together. The office works at all scales, but only accepts projects that include a commitment to sustainable construction and having fun throughout the process.

TOAST is also part of an agile network of independent architects that comes together to compete for transformative large-scale commissions. With over 15 years of experience in competitions, concept development, and masterplanning, the office has developed a knack for solving complex problems in architecture and construction. For small creative offices, the most immediate challenge is how to operate in a professional context that rewards size and standardization. Rather than growing, TOAST assembles expertise and creativity, otherwise scattered among different studios, into formidable teams that can compete against larger, more conventional firms.

TOAST is just a vessel for different tastes. The office is not bound by a specific style, aesthetic, program, or design ethos, so each project reflects the rich complexity of the relationship between context and client, the bread and butter.
